   Solver BIO Ì is a special scanning probe microscope for biological and medical applications. It is based on the combination of inverted optical and scanning probe microscopes that enables optical sample surface visualization during the scanning process in different SPM modes. Solver BIO Ì consists of sample and measuring head positioning stages that allow choosing an interesting region for investigation and fine sample-to-tip lateral positioning. This effective tool provides sample surface characterization in ambient and liquid environments. Moreover the SPM head can be easily removed for stand alone operation. These features and many others combine the power of high-resolution SPM with such widely used optical techniques as bright-field, phase contrast, fluorescence and Nomarski DIC making Solver BIO Ì the essential and revolutionary instrument for life sciences. Available optical microscopes - Olympus IX-70.

    Note

The Solver BIO Ì AFM unit with the operating stage can be used in combination with your own microscope (Olympus IX-50 or Olympus IX-70).

     Highlights

  • Fine cantilever positioning (4x4 mm range, 5µm accuracy);
  • Standard optical condenser for bright-field and phase contrast optical techniques which can be used simultaneously with SPM measurements;
  • Easy look at your opaque sample from above via optional optical microscope.
