Unique development: Integration of Quartz Microbalances and SPM

NT-MDT is pleased to introduce the newest development – Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation monitor (QCM-D). The uniqueness of the new development is its dual-use: QCM-D is able to operate as independent tool, and yet it could be easily integrated with any SPM by NT-MDT Company.

The combined system AFM/QCM is intended to carry out simultaneous in situ observation of object morphology (up to nm) and viscoelastic properties and mass changes (down to ng).
Stand-alone use of sensitive instrument QCM-Dallows to investigate integral properties of the sample only: mass changes and viscoelasticity in real time. This essential shortcoming is removed due to synergetic effect of AFM and QCM-D combination.
