NT-MDT Company launches to the market new accessories

Recently NT-MDT company has offered new super sharp diamond-like carbon (DLC ) tips.
These tips with typical curvature radius 1nm are extremely useful for obtaining high resolution on objects with sizes of several nanometers. DLC tips have very long lifetime due to the high material durability. DLC tips can be grown on any standard probe series. Each silicon tip is controlled by SEM after the growing process. It allows selection the probe with the DLC tip that length is bigger then others for 20nm or more. In other words one of the DLC tips has a working length not less than 20nm.

Dr. Klinov D.V. (Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry Russian Academy of Sciences) obtained the super high resolution SPM image of linearized plasmid DNA deposited on the modified HOPG by DLC tip on Solver BIO (NT-MDT Co.). DNA size (2-2.5nm) is nearly equal to the real size (~2nm)! Standard probes provide DNA imaging with size about 10-15nm.
