Scan-Gallery: Microchannel plate

AFM image of the microchannel plate's cell matrix. Every dark circle  is a pore, which operates as a electron-multiplier tube if 1kV is applied. Diameter of each pora is 10 um and distance from one center to another is 12 um. MCP is produced from leaden-silicate glass and MCP is used as electron-volume amplifier.
